Global Supply Chain Manager 

Location: Genua, Gothenborg or Gdansk

Your responsibilities

• Develop and implement a global supply chain strategy to achieve the best value for the organization while improving its resilience and performance.
• Lead and monitor supply chain performance and analyzing data related to this area of the business including setting targets and follow-up financial goals.
• Execute the process from source to contract, including appropriate strategies, approaches and methods.
• Preparing and conducting fact-based negotiations, and make decisive decisions.
• Manage overall supplier relationships, including reviews with a focus on improving efficiency, quality and cost.
• Act as an escalation point for all supplier issues.
• Build and nurture relationships with key decision makers and stakeholders in the organization.
• Create and regularly update a savings list as part of annual budget preparation and management.

Skills and requirements

• Stand firm in negotiations, ensuring that the group’s interests are protected and that favorable terms are secured.
• Lead with confidence, inspiring their team and earning respect from suppliers and internal stakeholders.
• Navigate challenges with a problem-solving attitude, not easily swayed by setbacks or difficulties.
• More than 10 years of experience in supply chain.
• Marine industry background preferred.
• Proven managerial and negotiation skills, including contract negotiation and understanding of key commercial terms.
• Strong analytical, communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work at various levels of management.
• Professional experience managing complex strategic sourcing projects.
• Persistence and the ability to drive the development of global standards and procedures.
• Willingness to travel regularly between our offices and supply markets.
• Minimum Bachelor’s degree.
• C1 English proficiency.
